What is an Intelligent Haunting?

Despite what you may think, the title does not refer to the genius of said ghost or spirit; in theory you would assume that an Intelligent Haunting is that of a scientist or the return of Albert Einstein, this is not the case.

An Intelligent Haunting merely refers to a ghost or spirit who has the knowledge of your presence and could make itself known to whomever it wishes. For example a Residual Haunting is a time stamp of a ghost who unknowingly repeats a certain motion over and over again where as an Intelligent Haunting can move freely or to a certain location for a determined specific reason. This type may also make contact with a living person through voice, smell, apparition and writings, or in some cases the movement of objects.

These ghosts or spirits usually choose to stay on our earthly plane for a specific reason whether it was to finish a certain task, to watch over a location/ human being and in some instances for means of revenge. Selections of cases are found to be that of a confused state where the deceased person has no idea that they have passed away with no comprehension on what to do next. In some theories a few tend to refuse to pass on into the next realm whether they are scared or stubborn. In theory, these spirits must be led “into the light” by a religious persuasion in order to move on.

In conclusion the most important thing to remember about this type of haunting is that this entity is trying to make contact with whomever will listen. If the ghost or spirit is one of complete anger, always remember that it is not of a demonic relation but that of an angry human, so try your best to understand what troubles him or her. The more questions you ask, the better chance you will have of receiving a possible answer and maybe even a solution to your situation.
